ELIANE RADIGUE [fr]
Eliane Radigue could be called the diva of the French avant-garde. In the late fifties she studied electro-acoustic music with Pierre Henry and Pierre Schaeffer. Afterwards she developed an interest In classical composition. In the late seventies she started to write music for tapes and Arp synthesizer, she converted to Tibetan Buddhism and injected a huge dose of abstract spirituality into her music. In the Witte Zaal she will present her electronic composition from 2000 called "L'île Re-sonante". Before the concert she will give a talk about her composition and working methods. |
