THE EYE OF COUNT FLICKERSTEIN [Tony Conrad - 1967 - 7']
Tony Conrad, trailblazer of minimal music and structuralistic film, simply can't be unknown to any of you after all his recent performances. Still, this film hasn't been shown a lot. One year before he made his legendary film "The Flicker" he filmed distorted television: a hypnotic visual hullabaloo that transcends the tension of science fiction and horror films

OUTER SPACE [Peter Tscherkassky - 1999 - 10']
This thing begins as a horror but becomes really violent as soon as the projector starts running. In these times that bring us as much technological hypes as possible, Tscherkassky invades fiction film frame per frame, with a flashlight and a laser pointer.

EARLY ABSTRACTIONS #1-5, 7, 10 [Harry E. Smith - 1939 - 23']
"My movies are made by God; I am just the medium for them", he stated; collector, Filmer, painter and magician Harry Smith. These films are to be watched just for their color and movements. It can be examined for secret messages and alchemy too.

PARTICLES IN SPACE + TAL FARLOW[Len Lye - 1957/1980 - 5']
By scratching his films Lye came to what he calls "Vibrating dots and dashes which swirled, pulsed, squiggled and darted about the screen - particles of energy in space". The first one is synchronized with drums from the Bahamas and Nigeria and at the beginning and the end just the sound of his own kinetic sculptures. The next film has the jazz music of Tal Farlow.

FIREWORKS [Kenneth Anger - 1947 - 15']
Anger filmed one of his first films when he was home alone for the weekend. It's an aggressive homo-erotic dream of a dream. Or as he describes it himself: 'This flick is  all I have to say about being seventeen, the United States Navy,  American Christmas and the Fourth of July.'

MOTH LIGHT[Stan Brakhage - 1963 - 4']
Dead insects and leaves that are stuck to the pelicule undergo a new movement through the projector. One of the most documentary films possible.
