Donato Epiro is een jonge Italiaanse muzikant die meesurft op de hedendaagse dronegolf, maar dan wel met een houten voodoosurfplank, made in Angola. Zijn "Sounding The Sun" cd-r (Stunned Records, 2009) klinkt als een ritualistische wereldreis waarin zachte ragaloops, chants, fluitjes en percussieve mantras versmelten tot een eenmansbedrijf in nieuwe school minimalisme. Donato Epiro is a young Italian musician who rides the contemporary drone waves, but with a wooden voodoo surf board. His "Sounding The Sun" cd-r (Stunned Records, 2009) sounds like a ritualistic journey in which gentle raga loops, chants, flutes and percussive mantras merge to create a world of new school minimalism.
