KURT D'HAESELEER "S*CKMYP" (B) 80' / 2004 (K-RAA-K)3 released the DVD from this film, in association with De Filmfabriek, in January. S*CKMYP is an impressive, organic image-en sound flow exploded buildings, trembling ways and mutated people. Music has been written by Köhn, the text is written and read by Peter Verhelst. In a systematic manner this Austrian director explores the aspects of the medium. He uses a varied selection of archived films. Deutsch combines unrelated things into mysterious, rhythmic entities by silencing the rationalizing voiceovers accompanying his source material. 	PIETER-PAUL MORTIER "In the Midst of ..." 19' (B) (2004) Belgian première of the newest and longest film of Mortier. This young filmmaker worked with pictures shot by friends in India. He assembled and re-worked them in a way that they present a new perspective on the medium film. The music is new work of Ovil Bianca.		De Belgische première van de nieuwste en langste film van Mortier. Deze Gentse filmmaker ging in de weer met beelden uit India, geschoten door vrienden. en monteerde en verwerkte ze, zodat onmiddellijk een nieuw perspectief wordt gegeven op het medium film. De muziek is nieuw werk van Ovil Bianca.
