Diamond Catalog is the duo of Lala Conchita and Pat Maherr out of Portland, Oregon. Their music is a concoction of cross-bred dance music and mutated, swirling noise bricolage. Factory-booming beats creating a mechanical-yet-organic framework for devious sonic chatter to wind its way through. Imagine the sound of a distant rave in the midst of a disorienting drug spell, wading your way through the infinity of your mind’s own dark matter.

PAK (US)
Rhode Island print & noise artist Lauren Pakradooni performs solo as PAK, where she manipulates scratchy four track tapes & contact-mic’ed machines into a loopy bliss - sometimes like salt on a margarita glass, sometimes like grit in a canvas shoe. She likes hair, crooked things, zombies and oil slick. There’s some pretty incredible posters she’s made out there, plus her sonic output is grippable from the indomitable Breaking World Records.

CITY HANDS (NL)
...it’s a quest, a search for this mythical place that is both an inner sanctum of vision, a threshold of faith and a mass mind utopian apparition. City Hands is the vessel for me to try and reach this Eldorado, a vessel that has allowed me to see glimpses of this place and even made it possible to almost enter it. COTOPAXI (NL)
This duo out of Amsterdam has toured both Europe and the US extensively, as Cotopaxi but also with their solo projects Moemlien and Fyoelk. Originally formed as a freely improvised Halloween band, they recently have found to more structured forms, utilizing synthesizers, beat machines, tape loops and washed out vocals.

FLORIS VANHOOF stelt zijn nieuwe elpee ‘Cycles of Confusion’ (KRAAK) voor. De elpee laat Vanhoof van twee kanten zien. Een B-kant met Riley-geïnspireerd modilair synthwerk en een B-kant met een gedetailleerde compositie van field recordings en elektronica. Zijn live performances zijn altijd een combinatie van dit andere bewustzijnsgeluid met filmexperiment.

BEAR BONES, LAY LOW soloproject van Ernesto Gonzalez (ook actief in o.a. Sylvester Anfang II) focust zich dezer dagen voornamelijk op oude analoge synths en drumcomputers. Dit is ook de elpeevoorstelling van zijn derde langspeler ‘El Telonero’ (KRAAK) waarop hij voornamelijk focust op melodieuze old school synth- en elektronicawerk, geïnspireerd door Bruce Haack, Mort Garson en Angel Rada. Voor de gelegenheid ook in conversatie met videowerk.

Truus de Groot presenteert haar beeld- en geluidspel ‘Salton Sea’. De Groot is bekend van de oerdagen van Nasmaak en Nasmak. Daarna koos ze haar eigen weg met Plus Instruments, vervolgens ging ze ook nog de rockabilly kant op met Trigger and The Thrill Kings en belandde ze op het terrein van de exotica. Ze is nog steeds van alle markten thuis. ‘Salton Sea’ is een hoorspel over een laaggelegen meer in Californië (waar zij tegenwoordig woont) met een hoog zoutgehalte. Dit uniek gebied, wat eens de Salton Riviera werd genoemt, is nu een verwoest landschap waar de armste mensen nog steeds hun leventje leven. Over de laaste twaalf jaar heeft ze samen met haar partner de langzame verwoesting gedocumenteerd op foto en film. De Groot zingt, spreekt en creëert muziek met elektronica - waaronder haar fameuze kraakdozen - en vult dit aan met video.
