Courtisane festival

FM3 [china]

(K-RAA-K)3 invited the Chinese duo FM3 in 2004 for the first time to Europe during the “1000 Revolutions A Second”-project showcasing Chinese electronica. Meanwhile, they released the Buddha machine: a box the size of an iPod with a little power switch. The Buddha Machine is a worldwide hype: the colourful loop generators made it into the New York Times’s top-10 of 2005, Brian Eno bought six (one for every available colour), Alan Bishop of Sun City Girls got 24 for his own use… On the Courtisane fest they play an ultra minimal set with these mysterious Buddha Machines.
